"My parents are immigrants to this country from the South Pacific Island of Tonga. As the oldest daughter of this family, I am committed to the dream that led my parents to this country. Although I have encountered many obstacles, I am committed to pursuing my goal to attend college. My goal to become a civil rights lawyer is based on family's history of struggle in this country and I am committed to help make social changes that can benefit all of us."
